WELCOmE TO 2nd GRADE SACRAMENT CLASS
Hi Families,
I’m so happy you are joining me on our journey towards the sacrament of Reconciliation. Notices for new posted lessons will be sent out via Flocknote. Each lesson will begin and end with prayer. I suggest that you create a sacred space at home to pray and do lessons in. Lessons will include a list of items needed for activities, the recorded lesson and the activities. The recorded lessons are between ten and fifteen minutes each. The activities can take an additional ten to fifteen minutes. Choose to watch and complete activities as it fits for your family. You can also choose to do all the activities or just one.
I have a prayer box with each students name in it for our prayer time. I want to encourage students and families to send me Flocknote’s with additional prayer needs. They will be offered as the intentions of our class prayer box, to keep everyone’s privacy. Should there be something you would likened during prayer time, please indicate with the Flocknote or email. Please email me at re@resurrectionaz.org or Flocknote with something you learned from each lesson. This is my attendance for your class, so it is important to complete this task.
The date for the sacrament of reconciliation and how we are to celebrate will be decided after the first of next year. We will be sure we take into account everyone’s health and safety.
Lesson 1 Sin
Please have a place to watch the video for about 15 minutes! After you have completed the viewing, please remember to send me an email or a text about what you have learned!
Items Needed
bowl of water
syrup or honey
a towel
ability to print or email Ms Dee that you need them printed for you!
Actvities
Sticky Sins - Gather your water, towel and syrup. Hold your child’s hand over the bowl and put syrup into it. Discuss how it oozes onto the folds of his/her fingers. This is what happens when we sin. It makes us feel icky can spread in our souls. Now have your child wash their hand and dry it. Discuss how good it feels to have your hand clean. So it is with the sacrament of reconciliation, our sins are washed away and we feel forgiven and renewed!
