Stay Joyful
Today, that may seem to be a hard task given the current environment. To some, even impossible. And yet, that is exactly what God asks of us. Joyfulness is a cornerstone of Catholic teaching. Finding joy in life isn’t just for the good times. It’s for all times because we acknowledge what God has given us and what God has done for us. We hope you’ll find the resources on this page helpful for you to find joy in the times ahead. May the Lord continue to help us to do God’s work in taking care of creation and each other.
“I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and your joy may be complete.”

Resurrection’s Little Oratories
The family is an ecclesia domestica, or “domestic church,” because each member of a household is called to live out their baptism together. A tradition among Catholics is to create a simple prayer space that includes the Bible, art and other religious items that remind us of our call to prayer. This space is called a home oratory. The Catechism (#2691) recommends this: “For personal prayer, this can be a ‘prayer corner’ with the Sacred Scriptures and icons, in order to be there, in secret, before our Father. In a Christian family, this kind of little oratory fosters prayer in common.” Share your home oratory and send us your photos by emailing them to rcia@resurrectionaz.org!
