Religious Education for Pre-K through 5th Grade
Our mission is to help Catholics of all ages grow in their faith with the Gospels as our guide in a dynamic and engaging way. Our Resurrection Religious Education Program is centered in Christ to build a foundation of faith in partnership with parents. That foundation will continue to grow in our children's knowledge of God and the Roman Catholic Church as they build God's kingdom on earth.
We offer...
Traditional classroom style instruction for children from pre-Kindergarten through 5th grade on Tuesday evenings from 6:00pm to 7:15pm.
Our Tuesday night program includes sacramental preparation for Reconciliation (2nd Grade) and Confirmation and First Eucharist (3rd Grade).
Registration: Registration for the 2019-20 is now open. Pre-K children through 12th grade students all use the same registration form. NO child will be turned away due to an inability to pay the fees in full. Please email our RE coordinator if you have financial needs we can help you meet.
Stay Informed: Parents can stay informed with ongoing RE programs by signing up for “Religious Education” updates at flocknote.com/resurrectionaz or text resurrectionaz to 84576. Also, please check our calendars page for easy access to publicly available Google calendars for all our programs.
our 2019-20 year has concluded
We know many families are dealing with the impact of school closures and the general anxiety that may come from uncertainties related to the Covid-19 outbreak. As a result, Resurrection has decided to CANCEL all remaining RE, Edge and Life Teen classes for the remainder of the year.
To date, these cancellations DO NOT affect sacraments or their scheduled practices in April. Information for our 3rd grade and those in the RCI-C or RCI-A programs will be sent shortly. No changes in these schedules will be made until further notice.
Know these decisions were NOT made out of fear, it’s a decision that was made in an abundance of caution for all. We encourage everyone to continue to practice good hygiene and appropriate social distancing as directed by medical professionals. This is a time to put prayers into action caring for each other and being good, responsible neighbors. If you would like to stay updated on the diocesan response please go to https://dphx.org/stayhealthy/
Finally, in addition to keeping ourselves and each other safe, we have an amazing opportunity to spend a large portion of this Lenten season in prayer within our own families. Take any added time you have to pray as a family, clean the garage together, play a game or just be in the presence of each other. There our many ways that through God’s graces we can transform these events into one that is both nurturing and strengthening Christ’s presence in us all.
