Blessing of the Food at 10am in the Chapel (It’s a tradition to have a basket of food blessed on Holy Saturday dating back to early 12th century Poland. Since we have been fasting during Lent, the blessed food is not eaten until after Easter Mass. Many people prepare a decorative basket with crisp linens covering the food which symbolizes the covering of Christ’s burial shroud.)
